Legal Question in Elder Law in California
I need to prepare a new power of attorney for my mother in Minnesota to update information. I live in California. Can I prepare the document either in MN or CA and have her signature notarized, and then have my signature notarized here in CA?
Thanksk

You cannot prepare it for her at all without engaging in the unauthorized practice of law, which is a crime in California, and most likely invalidating the POA. She needs to prepare the document or have an attorney prepare it for her.
