Senior citizen house sharing protection
A senior citizen widower(A) shares home with same(B), all costs are on the ''honor'' system. There is no sexual, marital or ''relationship'' other than roomates. Both parties benefit, but the ''host'' parties family is worried about ''common law'' or ''cival union'' claims that could be made in the future. (B) has an undiagnosed mental limitation as well as limited english language skills.

Tell the host to get to an estate planner/real estate attorney. Get something in writing that explains the relationship; a lease, an agreement, or update A's estate plan to make it clear that they are only roommates and he is leaving her nothing. There further steps if you are worried about B's motives. See an attorney.
