Legal Question in Entertainment Law in California
an 18 year old, while playing semi-pro football this summer, accepts a soda without paying for it. does this constitute payment so that he is now unable to play college football? He was very careful to accept no money.

I think the NCAA is far more interested in cars and bindles of cash, but watch it with those sodas nonetheless.
No, it's deminimus (so minimal it has no significance). I am happy to give you a formal legal opinion if you like, that you can quote and cite to, save and rely on as needed.
