Legal Question in Entertainment Law in California
My act is being billed at a venue I never approved of
I'm a performing artist. I ran an internet search of my name and found that a restaurant in California is using my name and likeness, claiming that I will be performing there. I didn't even know about this until the internet search. I live in Maryland. Do I have legal options? Can I sue for damages?

Provided you've not authorized some other entity to book your act or somehow license your name/act, you have a case.

Yes, there are some things you can do as to legal action, particularly if they don't have permission to do what they're doing, and you're certain they're using your name and likeness.
