Legal Question in Entertainment Law in California

What can I do?

In February of 2008 I started to do amateur porn. I did multiple videos and took numerous pictures for them I signed model release forms for most of it. I was supposed to be paid for all of it and was only paid for one video. Also I found out that there is some content of me on a website that i dont think i gave consent for them to use. I spoke with him and told him the problems that it is causing me with my job and my personal life and he agreed to remove it. I went and checked earlier and it is still there. I wanted to know if there is anything I could do to either gain rights to all of my pictures and videos or at least have him remove them because of the problems that it is causing with my personal life.

Re: What can I do?

It would depend on what you signed. If you did not give him the rights to use your photos then you can get them taken off the web site by going to the web site provider, but I suggest trying to get him to cooperate first.

Re: What can I do?

You MIGHT be able to buy back the rights you've signed over to this fellow. But the signed releases (assuming they're typical releases) give him the right to do what he wishes with the videos and pictures.

If you weren't paid what you were promised, your remedy is to sue for breach of contract... but barring some extraordinary circumstances, the releases you signed won't be considered invalid.

There are too many other variables here to really advise you, so I'd recommend consulting with an attorney to go over all the facts and see if there's anything else that might help you stop the distribution of the materials...

I'd be willing to spend some time with you to evaluate your case. Feel free to call me.
