Re: film producing

There are a number of contracts that you will need throughout the process (pre-production, principal photography, post production). We serve as production counsel for indie projects so I you would like to see some of the things that we do feel free to check out our "film" page on our web site, www.fjlawcorp.com

Thank you.

Re: film producing

Welcome to show biz. You are what is called either a "film angel" or "a schmuck with a pen." You will need to purchase rights to a script, hire actors, a director, producers and other "above-the-line" talent, arrange for rental of sets, lights and camera equipment and the "below-the-line" talent such as cinematographers and grips, create a budget, arrange for edit rooms for post-production, and then you would need to market the finished production (if you get that far). You need to associate with people having the skills you lack (e.g. lawyers). You might try going to NYU or USC film school first.

Re: film producing

The question itself would suggest you need a consultation regarding basic questions of how the industry works, and/or a consultation with an entertainment attorney. I provide both services if you're interested. Best of luck with your project in any case.
