Legal Question in Entertainment Law in California
May I fire a manager that has not gotten me auditions or work tho our contract is for two years. I signed with them on Feb. 3, 2010. I want to be sure I do not have to pay them any commissions as a result of any work my agent gets for the duration of the 2 years. (This was a stip in the signed contract). If I fire them, that should be it-- right. How do I handle this? Thank you.

You signed a contract with your manager and getting out of it is likely not as easy as firing them. You need to review your contract for terms discussing how to terminate the agreement, as firing them may not necessarily excuse the obligations within the agreement.
Alternatively, if it is difficult to terminate the agreement, it could be argued that the manager has failed to make a good faith effort in acquiring employment for you, which may allow you to terminate the agreement. However, in order for this argument to succeed more facts are needed than what you have provided in your question.
You should review your contract. Feel free to contact me should you need further assistance.
