Re: injury on set
If you were injured while working for an illegally uninsured employer, you have the right to sue the employer, and/or file a workers' comp claim against the employer which is then paid by the state uninsured employers fund (UEF). Contact a workers' comp attorney who has experience with UEF cases - not all comp lawyers have this experience.

If you were working as an independent contractor (you get a 1099 instead of a W-2) you can sue anyone who may have been responsible or contributed to your injury. The seat may have a manufacturing flaw, in which case the manufacturer and distributor and retailer could be sued. There could be a construction defect in installation, or the owner of the building may be liable for allowing a dangerous condition to exist.
