Do I have to pay royalties, if so how does this work exactly please, and who do I pay the royalties to? Thanks

Re: Music royalties
Yes, you're required to obtain licenses to use the music.
You must contact the owners of both the COMPOSITION (the music publisher) and the RECORDING (the record label), to negotiate a license fee.
They're not required to say yes, but if they do allow your use, you'll pay them directly
A good place to start looking for approriate contact information is the liner notes, or try ASCAP and BMI's websites.
Securing the assistance of an attorney familiar with this process will be worth the investment, as it will save you countless hours and likely result in a lower license fee.
