Record Deal Only signed by one party
Last year I signed an eight year record deal with a new company, that promised me the world. Bit connections they have many but no real obligation to connect me to any of them. In fact, theyve broken off all contact with me. They no longer answer my emails, or return my phone calls. In fact I feel totally abandoned by them, and they never gave me a copy of the contract with their signatures. and it wasnt notorized. Iam I still obligated to the terms under the contract?

from the facts given, your best bet would be to have an attorney review the terms of your contract, as well as your plans in "escaping" from its terms before you do anything.

Depends on the terms of the contract, and whether they communicated their acceptance of said contract to you. If they did so, even though it wasn't signed, there still may be a valid contract. Assuming that you have a valid contract, the more pertinent question to ask may be whether they've breached any of their obligations, or representations and warranties, to you under the contract. If that's the case, you may be able to argue that they're in material breach and seek to rescind the deal. Please let me know if I can help you further.

I must assume that you had an attorney review the agreement before you signed for eight years. If you did not, you should consult one now. A letter from him/her to the record company should at least get you a copy of the contract. At that point, your counsel can review the agreement and give you proper advice.
