stolen documentary
Ihave a friend who did a doc and showed it to a company they have a copy and stole it sold it to a major entertaiment company they knew he didnt have the money to fight them i guess. anyways the company have made almost 10million dollars and counting want can he do? his plans were to make a motion pix. they done a terrible in justice. please direct me to someone who can see there is light at the end of the tunnel and not what a fortune up front he never gave thim any kind of permission to sell, or use his story.

I am surprised you have not received responses from other attorneys here on lawguru regarding this matter. Provided the legal time limits have not yet passed, there should be no reason not to sue the b******** who "stole your doc." Please feel free to call or email me.

Your fact pattern is a bit disjointed. How did the company who stole the film get a copy? Did your friend give it to them? Does he have proof he met with and/or gave the film to the company? What kind of documentation does your friend have? How can he prove it's his film? Does the film have a copyright notice? Did your friend register it with the Copyright Office? What do you mean "his plans were to make a motion pix"? Do you mean a motion picture based upon the story included in the documentary? Why isn't your friend writing? You need to post more and clearer details if you expect advice from this board.
