Legal Question in Entertainment Law in California
Web Image Rights
I am starting up an entertainment related website and want to acquire rights for photographic content. However, if I'm doing a movie review and want to insert a frame from the movie, do I need to obtain rights for this?

One frame of a movie in a movie review is fair use. Beyond that you are in legal limbo land. Why don't you call up the studio publicity department and ask for some publicity photos for that movie? Could be they will be very, very nice to you.
