Legal Question in Entertainment Law in California

I wrote up contracts and agreements regarding a film project (which were mailed off and hand delivered with signatures received for production) that is to be made plus chauffeured the client, he has not paid me. What do I / can I do? I have sent him an invoice already, and we have talk several times and I have been informed that he has picked up the final contract from the originator of the actor/character creator and director......He stems to make a very large sum of money from these projects and I want him to pay me from the upfront monies he will receive for making the product.
