5150 and adoption
My wife was committed on a 5150 three years ago. Things are fine now, and lately, we have been thinking about adoption. Does the 5150 have any effect on that?

It will be a factor in determining whether you are eligible to adopt. The affect that it will have on a petition for adoption will depend upon why she was held on a 5150. If she is being treated by a doctor consult with that attorney regarding her ability to parent a child.
