Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have 2 boys from a previous marriage ages 9 and 11. Dad doesn't want them in sports because he says it's too far out (25-30 min drive) . The court order states he has to provide transportation to scheduled games and practices, he wants to change that. I have had to file a police report once for not bringing them to their games twice. He also wants my weekends including his. And of course lower his child support. He's also requesting that they go to "Sunday School" and have no activities on Sundays. Any input as to how the judge might go with this? Would he consider his complaint for it being to far to bring the boys? Can I request for boys to be interviewed? These boys are great boys, Honor Roll students, and have had sports in the last 3 years.. this is their Joy. They have no weekend sports from Dec-Mar.. 4 months of no weekend activity for their dad.. they stress wondering if their dad is going to bring them to their games or not.. they go to practice during the week and their dad wont bring them for their game on Sat or Sun.. thank you!

Each judge is different. Many judges will say that dad does not need to bring the kids to sports on his time. Many will say that he does need to bring them. He can not dictate that the children go to church every weekend and a judge will decline to make orders in that regard due to issues of separation of church and state. You may request that the court appoint minor's counsel or an evaluator that would be able to speak to the kids. You should probably contact a family law attorney so that your case can be presented to the judge and so that the proper requests are made.
