Legal Question in Family Law in California
My ex and I have 50/50 custody of our son. I pay her $200 a month and now she doesnt want to work so she filed for welfare and put my son on there for aid and insurance. The state of California is coming after me for more support now because of this. I provide him with insurance and like I said have him an equal amount of time. She is fully capable of working but claims she cannot due to taking care of her father yet she was denied by the state to be his caregiver. I make 60k a year. How much more will I have to pay because of this? I am remarried and have another child. My wife also works full time.

The California Dept of Child Support Services offers a free child support calculator. You just need to plug in the numbers. Here is the link. http://www.childsup.ca.gov/Resources/CalculateChildSupport.aspx
