730 Evaluation

Thanks for answering my question.

Under what circumstances is a 730 Evaluation usually ordered? If my ex feels like it, can she just ask the judge to order one? If one is ordered, how would that work if I live in another state?

A 730 evaluation can be ordered for a variety of reasons, such as in move-away orders, allegations of domestic violence, custody battles. If you are living in a different state, it could be held telephonically, but I would highly recommend going to the appointment in person. Depends on what's at stake. You should consult with an attorney about all the specifics of your case.
