Legal Question in Family Law in California

In 1985 I married and less then a week into the marriage he was gone, never to be seen or heard from again. I'm now 70 and would like to be divorced due to my religion. I still live in the same city and he has never tried to make contact with me. He was from the midwest and may be bak there. I'm in Calif. Any suggestions will be mostly appreciated.
