Legal Question in Family Law in California

4-21-11 sheriff broke my window damaged security gate trying to get in my home my husband opened the door was knocked to the floor my 18month old child was in my arms we were ordered to the floor with guns on us sheriff said they had a search warrant to search for drugs being sold .We never saw a search warrant cps was with them the cops brought in a dog they left with absolutely nothing but found a little medical marijuana asked my husband if he had a medical card he reponded yes. cps asked me to drug test for them i declined my husband agreed, they had us to sign a 30 day saftey plan and left they called two days ago and asked me to test i declined so i was told i need to attend a tean decision meeting.what do you suggest i do

You need to post this in the Criminal Law section. If they did not produce a search warrant then the entire search was might be illegal. Tell the police you need to contact an attorney before seeing them. It sounds as though they have no right to test you for anything.

I suggest that you get an attorney. If you are clean, the drug test is cheap. Good Luck, Pat Mccrary
