Legal Question in Family Law in California

1st,3rd,5th weekend of the month???

I have been following my ex's schedule for the last 3 years not paying that much attention to it, As long as i saw my kids 1,3,5th wknds of the month. But what is the legal way to follow it, when looking at a calendar, and how many 5th wknds are there in a year?? I am so confused for instance this month i had them the 2nd and 4th weekend???? Why and when looking at the calendar it looks wrong?

To end the confusion designate the weekend by either Friday or Saturday. That is the procedure used by mot courts. This makes it simple to determine which weekend it is. There are four months in the year with 5 weekends.
