Legal Question in Family Law in California

Can someone please tell me 2 things regarding Dissolution of marriage/Child Custody?

1 - What forms are now required, I know they changed in either 2011 or 2012, and I cannot afford an Attorney; and, 2 - if a man had a Domestic Violence case that he has COMPLETED not only the Time Sentenced to Serve but is now OFF parole, can he still get 50% custody of his new son?

If you want a listing of all the forms for a Dissolution of Marriage, you can go to the Family Court website for the County in which you reside. If that court doesn't give you access to the forms, you can go to the Orange County Courthouse website to find all the Family Law Forms. You need to bear in mind, in addition to the judicial counsel forms which are good in all Counties, your County may also have a local form that may be necessary.

With respect to getting 50% custody after being convicted of Domestic Violence, without more details, I couldn't tell you for sure. However, it would be an uphill battle even with representation; so if you are going to represent yourself, it would be even more unlikely.
