Legal Question in Family Law in California

My 12year old daughters mother has, out of the blue, declared she is moving from California to Colorado. She only sent a certified leter to me... Our custody agreement states both parents have to agree to an out of state move.... What action can I take..? By the way she has voided herself in dishonoring several other points of our court agreement as well.... ie; signing our daughter up to school w an other than her legal last name (which is same as mine)

The good news is that you have a court order that clearly delineates what the responsibilities are if someone wants to move to another jurisdiction. You should immediately return to court on a request for order and seek ex parte relief to prevent mother for moving the child out of state. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to assist you on this matter.
