Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am a 19 year old Indian Girl, Married to a indio-American Boy last year after getting visa i moved to California-USA this year and within 5 months came back to India as my husband divorced me.

During my Stay I was tortured Physically by my husband and his parents. As i was new in USA did't know who to contact. They have taken all my gold jewelry and Money I brought with me from India.

My Husband taken some pics of me during our private time and he blackmailed me that if i don't sign divorce paper he will through them on internet and send my family back in India.

Can you please guide me if anything can be done while staying in India?

1) Suggest that you retain a California Family Law Attorney to review the documents in your case.

2) If you cannot afford to do that suggest that you Google California Courts Self Help Center for online information as to how to handle your own divorce.

3) Depending on how comfortable you are with the Indian law enforcement practices, I would take your evidence to the police and see if they will contact their law enforcement counterparts over here about the matter.
