10 year rule for pension or insurance

Is there some law that requires a marriage be 10 years before a wife is eligble for pension or insurance in california?

There is no 10 year rule concerning pensions. All contributions from earnings during the marriage are community property. Many people are confused because under a military pension the marriage must be 10 years during the military members service for direct payment of the spouses share of the pension. Even with one year of marriage there is a right to a part of the pension. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
