Legal Question in Family Law in California

My 17-y-o son turns 18 in April. I have been receiving child support from his father since we divorced in 1999. In the state of California and also stated on our divorce, child support ends when he reaches 18 and is not a non-self supporting full-time high school student. He attends a private school which doesn't involve an actual grade level but based on age. His current school year ends in August. He also gets SSI. My question is this: does the child support end in April or August?

The law of the state of your divorce must be consulted for an interpretation of the 18 and no longer a high school student rules. Even if the statutory provisions are worded identically, each state will have their own case law interpreting the provisions. So you need to repost your question under the state in which the support order was issued.
