Legal Question in Family Law in California

80 yr old widow marries 37 yr old gay caregiver after harrasment by APS,Cops & P

Will this marriage stop APS, soc services from forcing Mom into assisted living? She would not do well, does not want to leave her 30 yr home. She is very well set financially. Not declared incompetent but forgets alot. Can the agencies trying to get involved have the marriage done away with? Maybe he is after the money and home...There was no prenuptual agreement signed, so does that mean he would have rights to anything of Moms? All is in trust at time of marriage. PLEASE shed some light for me,,,I am frantic! Thank you-- There are no ombudsman program avail for help in county of residence. Police are harrassing on almost daily basis, accusing elder abuse and being overly agressive. Her bank accounts have been frozen without warning and no written notices of hearings or anything have come in mail. the Police drop by with messages-and threats. What kind of lawyers do we need?

Mom is out of town and the Social APS worker forced us to call mom and worker told mom she had to be home for a meeting on Thursday or else. Mom says she DOES NOT have to come home because they tell her to. Is she no longer her own person at 80 yrs old?

This has upset

This sounds like a fraudulent marriage in an attempt to circumvent probate laws that prohibit caretaker's from being named as heirs to a decendant's estate. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
