Legal Question in Family Law in California

18yrs old and Termination of Support

My ex-husband has been paying child support since my daughters been 3, she has now turned 18 and he is now filed an order to terminate child support. My question is if she is a full time student in College and live's at home with Mom (whom is a single mother) would he the father still be obligated to continue paying support till she graduates college. As long as she remains a full time student????

Re: 18yrs old and Termination of Support

No California law requires the payment of child support only until the child is 18 or 19 and a full time student in high school. Any contribution toward your daughter's college education would be voluntary.
