How can this affect me, since he wants to I believe file divorce ''Abadonment of home''.

In California divorce is no fault. The grounds for divorce are irreconible differences. All the party has to do is say that there are reconcilable differences. There is no question as to what those differences are. The court does not care who leaves and in your case is probably will make little if any difference in the end result.
