Legal Question in Family Law in California

abandament

I want to know if my wife were to file abandament on her ex after 21/2 years. She knows he's tring to serve her with papers.Want would happen if he got his rights taken away and say he shows back up 1,2 or even 5years later.Wants to get to know his son would they give him the chance to get to know him?He has not made an attempt since he was a couple months old.

PSome people seem to think once your rights are taken away you are no longer a parent to that child. So what are the odds of getting your rights back?He has had blood test done 2 years ago or so.So it's known that he's the father but hasn't seen him and has refused to pay any child support.

Re: abandament

Based on the provided facts, the courts prefer that both parents have access to the child, if it is in the best interest of the child. It sounds like her ex is trying to serve OCS (Order to Show Cause) papers to her. If you wish to discuss further her other options in trying to protect her child from further disruptions from this ex, contact me at the information below. Warmest regards.
