Legal Question in Family Law in California
Abandonment
My Alien resident husband last week signed a rental lease without me. He moved out of my parents house and left me with them. I know were he lives, but I have no phone number to reach him. He dropped off my belongs at my parents house and told me that he was filing for a divorce and he is never going to support me. He has been gone almost a week. He works for my father. I have not received a phone call or any money for support. He threatened to take me off his medical and dental insurance. In spite of his sudden fickleness, I love him. We have only been married since May 4, 2006. We are both 20 and 21. He isn't willing to work things out with me. What do I do? I am not really sure. All I know is that I am emotionally in panic and crippled. Please help. Thank you.

Re: Abandonment
Immediately contact a counselor and get some help with your situation. You need to get on with your life. There is nothing that you can do to force him to return to you.
