Legal Question in Family Law in California

How additional children affect child support

1) Does the birth of a second child with my current wife (our second child) reduce the amount of child support I currently pay my ex-wife?

2) If the child I pay support for resides in California, does the judgement remain there even if I have moved to Texas? In other words, can Texas law prevail over California law?

Re: How additional children affect child support

In CA subsequent children are a "hardship" which does effect support. CA law should prevail (the existing order stays in effect until modified), and you should return to CA to modify the order, but a Texas DA could agree to seek a lower amount of support if the DA is enforcing the order.
