Legal Question in Family Law in California

We have adopted a chold from China. They arbitrarily gave her a birthdate that is at least a year older than she actually is. How do we change her birthdate so she is not going to school earlier than she should be? We live in California.

You are going to have a tough time without proof of her actual age. On the other hand, for school purposes, you probably do not really need to be concerned at all. Every school district I know of will defer enrollment for a child that is not ready for kindergarten for any number of reasons. I'd be more worried about what happens when she wants to drive when she's really only 15, and drink when she's 20.
