Adopting my husband's kids

My husband has sole physical and sole legal custody of his two kids. His ex-wife is a drug addict and has no custody and only two visitation days a year. I would like to adopt the kids so that he and I are both legal parents to them. Can I do this?

You may adopt only if mother's parental rights are terminated by court order, or her signing of a relinquishment agreement. Contact an attorney and review all of the facts of your case.
