Adoption and Court-Ordered Child Support

I would like to know if money owed in arrears for court-ordered child support is required to be paid current if the minor child, for which the support is ordered and owed, is adopted.

Child support is owed and payable until the child is adopted, unless there is a court order that states otherwise. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
