Legal Question in Family Law in California

I reside in CA. I hove sole legal and sole physical custody of my 2 kids. My ex has been in and out of jail for drug use. I have been married for 2 years to a man who has taken on complete financial, emotional stability for the children. my ex is currently back in jail and owes me 27,000 in arrearages. My husband wants to addopt the kids. What must I do to get this done?

The above answer is correct. He can voluntarily give up his parental rights or you will have obtain a court order terminating his parental rights. He may be willing to relinquish the children in exchange for the back due child support being forgiven. Retaining counsel to assist you through this process will make it much easier.
