Adoptive parents not always the best

I a--name removed-- a 49 yr Divorced WF who i--name removed-- severly dyslexic, My adoptive parent--name removed-- who are divorced have completely shut me out of their life and have mentally abused me for more than 30 year--name removed--, They have now basically disowned me, My adoptive mother took my inheritance many year--name removed-- ago and said that I wa--name removed-- to dumb to handle the money, and much more like this! My question is: Can I sue the--name removed-- for the mental anguish that I have suffered fro--name removed-- the--name removed-- telling me that I a--name removed-- too dumb to amount to anything? Thank you!

To be more exact, you can sue them. But since the behavior of parents in

calling their children "dumb" and disinheriting them is not so outrageous as

to shock the conscience, your suit would likely be thrown out of court.
