Age of Babysitting

I have a 12 year old son and a 4 1/2 year old daughter. I get home from work around 1:30 in the afternoon. For the month of July, would my son be old enough to stay home alone with my daughter until I got home from work? They would be home alone for about 5 to 5 1/2 hours. Thank you for your time.

You are fine. The minimum age to babysit is twelve.
