Legal Question in Family Law in California

age to stop visitation

At 13 can my son legally stop flying to visit his Father? He does not want to visit any longer...we have a 89%-11% split. His father sees him maybe 6% in a year and my son is not wanting to go now

Re: age to stop visitation

If there is an order in place that Dad has visitation, then he must go. Sometimes when Dad hears it from the child that child does not want to go then he may be willing to forego the visitation requirement. Alternatively, you can go back into court ask the court to modify the order.
