Legal Question in Family Law in California
Alienation of affection
My parents were married for 10 years and 3 months. Lived seperately for the last 10 years. They are finally getting their divorce. My question is in the last 8 years or so, my dad had his girlfriend move in with us. I live primaily with my mom. I visit my dad every other weekend and about 4 hrs. on Wed. She has told my brother and me that she is jealous of the time we spend with our Dad. She lives with him every day. My dad and brother were watching a movie together, she got mad and stood at a hotel for the night to teach my dad. She likes to drink except she gets loud and obnoxious and starts yelling at my dad. She also has let her known she hates my mom. Whom has never done anything to her. She has turned my dad into someone I am not sure of . She tells him negative stuff about us. He makes it seem as he does not trust us. At this moment I have not been to my dad's since Sept. 2003. Is there a way I and or my brother can sue her for alientation of affection?

No. Alienation of affection does not exist in California.
I suggest that you have an honest talk with your father.
Good luck to you.

No, not in California. Take some time alone with your dad and speak with him.
