Legal Question in Family Law in California

Alimony

I have been divorced almost two years. Recently I have heard from mutual friends that my ex has made tons on money on real estate deals. Obviously he had several hidden investments that I was unaware of when we divorced using a paralegal. We had a stipulated agreement. Is it possible at this point to go back and sue for alimony? There are no mutual children involved. We were married for 9 years.

Re: Alimony

It depends on whether or not you waived spousal support or the court retained jurisdiction over the issue.

Of more importance, if he did not disclose all assets in the Preliminary and/or Final Declaration of Disclosure, you could seek to have the property division of the judgment vacated and seek your 1/2 of the undisclosed community property AND seek HIS 1/2 as a penalty or sanction.
