alimony

I was married for 17 years and 7 months to my husband. I did not work during this time. How long will my husband have to continue paying alimony to me. I am 47 years old.

This was a long term marriage and spousal support is payable until the court finds that you are able to support yourself. At your age the court will require you to seek suitable employment or education for employment. Seek the assistance of an attorney.
