Legal Question in Family Law in California

alimony

I have been married for 14years. I work p/t in order to raise 2 kids 12 and 8. I carry the health benifits for family thru my job of 22 years. My husband owns his own business. 5months ago he filed personal bankruptsy in which I was not involved. We own our home and are upsidedown in the loan, he is remaining in the house and we will share custody of the boys. So I plan to move out but don't know financially if i am entitled to alimony or any type of support other than child. Not expecting a lot just want to know what my rights are.

It is impossible to answer your question without a more thorough review of the earnings history of you and your husband. You should also understand that it is probably a community business and therefore you may be entitled to compensation for that business.
