Legal Question in Family Law in California

Alimony

Per my MSA, alimony is to be paid on the 1st of each month, however I made a verbal agreement to receive payment of the 5th of each month. The payments are now coming later and later each month, sometimes not until the 20th or later. But the checks are dated the 5th of the month. I've started saving the envelopes. My ex-husband does not respond to any e-mails or calls re: late alimony. This is starting to effect my ability to pay my bills on time. Is there any legal recourse for this? He will do not do direct desosit. Today is the 10th of December and I have not received my alimony yet.

Re: Alimony

You can get a wage assignment and serve it on his employer. This often results in a delay in receiving the payment for the first month, but then the payments should come in on regular basis. Many employers issue a check for support at the same time the employee receives their regular paycheck.
