Legal Question in Family Law in California

How do I know when my alimony payments stop? I know it will end in 2011, but I am not sure of the start date or ending date.

It should have been in the judgment. The language does not appear on the form judgment that the courts are required to use, but rather in the attachments to the judgment.

Take a look at the judgment and there should be a date the the support stops near the part of the judgment that states how much is to be paid in spousal support. There is also an issue of whether the court may have jurisdiction to extend the support beyond that date, however, you will need to file a motion and will almost certainly need an attorney for that motion.
