Legal Question in Family Law in California

alleged abuse

My daughter visits her father on weekends. she developed a diaper rash at his home and is now saying that he believes that her sitter or ''someone'' is abusing her because of the irritation that is on her private parts from her rash. Hi is now saying that he is going to call a lawyer to make an allegation against the sitter for abuse. I know he is doing this because we are scheduled to go to court for custody etc- and i feel that the onle reason he is doing this is to make me look like i am not protecting my child. What is my next step? what can i do to protect her?

Re: alleged abuse

Usually take your child to his or her regular pediatrician. Advise the pediatrician what has been happening and have your child examined. The pediatrician will be able to verify that there is no abuse.
