Legal Question in Family Law in California

you had answered a question regarding a divorce question; i just wanted to clarify; i filed for divorce in 2009 and we went to court but a final judgement hasn't been signed yet. if i wait too long, can the case be dropped and i have to start all over again? i am receiving child support thru a wage garnishment also.

I see that you filed in 2009, however, did you come to an agreement for the final Judgment? If not, did you request a trial date for the final? If neither of these things happen, the final judgment will never get entered.

It is not clear from your post where you are procedurally in your divorce. I believe that I answered earlier that you needed to serve and take a default if your spouse had not timely filed a response. If he has filed a response, you need to set the matter for trial. If you have had a trial, you will need to comply with the court's directives, and any local rules, for preparation and submission of the judgment.
