Legal Question in Family Law in California

Appointment of Co-Guardian

I have been granted legal guardianship of both of my minor nieces. How would I add my husband as co-guardian? Is there any alternative to re-filing ALL of the paperwork to include his name? I have been told to file an Ex Parte Order explaining why I need to add him (for medical and dental insurance for the girls) but cannot find the proper form. He is military and is currently out of state for several months (therefore the Ex Parte Order). He signed all of the necessary guardianship forms (Petition, Duties, Order, Letter) before he left.

Re: Appointment of Co-Guardian

File a petition with the court to modify the quardianship order. Be sure to clearly indicate that the purpose for modification is soley for the purpose of adding the children to his medical insurance. That the modification will not in any way change the circumstances of the guardianship.
