Legal Question in Family Law in California

Approximately a year ago, my boyfriend was married to a woman for three months before he left. He recently filed for divorce.

She has three kids from a previous marriage. The biological father takes responsibility for his kids.

Could my boyfriend be liable to her for child support?

Based on what you've told me. no. But if he gets sued for child support, and he doesn't defend the lawsuit the right way, he could still lose.
