Legal Question in Family Law in California

arrears

What does it mean when (the court reserves over assets & arrearts/offset/credit for support purposes.) I had money from an equity line in my account when H left. I used that money to pay community property debt and H atty said I lost my arrears. My case is not final yet. My arrears covered the five months I had no support at all.
