You can't get arrested for missing a hundred visitations. If you choose not to take the visitation you are granted, that is your loss, and especially your child's loss, but it is not a legal offense. If it becomes a pattern or habit, however, it does become grounds for the custodial parent to request a modification to cut down on your visitation since you are not using it.

A reduction in parenting time may also be grounds for the custodial parent to request an upward modification in child support.
